Consultmed and Magentus Partner to Enable End-to-End Digital Referrals, Connecting Primary and Secondary Care.

 Consultmed, a leading provider of digital referral and workflow solutions, has partnered with Magentus to integrate its platform with Gentu, Magentus’ cloud-based practice management system for medical specialists.

This integration allows specialists using Gentu to send and receive secure, trackable digital referrals directly into their practice management system, streamlining workflows and improving communication between primary and specialist care.

Dr Kim Drever, a Developmental Paediatrician currently using Genie and preparing to migrate to Gentu, welcomed the integration:

 With more than 2,000 specialist practices using Gentu, the Gentu Marketplace provides a growing ecosystem of third-party app integrations to enhance clinical workflows. Consultmed’s inclusion in the marketplace means specialists can more easily adopt a paperless, secure referral solution that integrates directly with their existing systems.

With Consultmed already integrated into major GP practice management systems, referrals can be sent directly to Gentu specialists, reducing manual processes and enhancing accuracy. Gentu users can also refer patients through Consultmed’s extensive referral network, which includes over 15 healthcare networks across Australia—most recently South Western Sydney LHD in NSW and Alfred Health in Victoria. Patients and carers benefit from real-time referral tracking and direct appointment booking, improving transparency and access to care.
