Virtual care providers on Consultmed: Clean Slate Clinic goes live with MediRecords FHIR integration.

Consultmed is expanding access to virtual healthcare providers across Australia, making it easier for GPs and health services to connect patients with specialist, community and virtual care.

Clean Slate Clinic is one of the latest providers now available through Consultmed. Clean Slate delivers specialist-led, clinically supervised alcohol withdrawal and recovery care at home for eligible patients, with medical oversight, clear escalation pathways and ongoing support.

For GPs, this creates a faster and safer pathway for alcohol and substance use care. Referrals can be submitted through Consultmed, with clinical updates, treatment recommendations and follow-up correspondence returned to the referring practice.

Clean Slate Clinic is also the first service to go live with Consultmed’s MediRecords FHIR integration, supporting seamless digital referrals and clinical correspondence between general practice and virtual care providers.

This means important clinical information can flow back into the GP’s practice system, helping maintain continuity of care, shared decision making and a complete patient record.

Clean Slate Clinic also supports Clinical Advice & Guidance through Consultmed, allowing GPs and other practitioners to request specialist advice on alcohol and substance use presentations without needing to make a formal referral every time.

As virtual care grows, Consultmed is bringing these services into routine clinical workflows. By connecting GPs, virtual providers and community organisations through secure digital referrals, FHIR-based integration and specialist advice pathways, we are helping patients get to the right care sooner.
